Herein, single crystals of compounds In2S3, AgIn5S8 and solid solutions (In2S3)x·(AgIn5S8)1–x were grown by directional crystallization. The composition the obtained was determined microprobe X-ray spectral analysis. It is found that content components in satisfactory agreement with specified initial charge. structure materials method. shown both based on them crystallized cubic spinel. unit cell parameters them, which vary linearly x, calculated least squares density pycnometric method, microhardness In2S3 Knoop density, like parameter, changes but dependence x parameter has a maximum for = 0.4. Using differential thermal analysis (DTA), temperatures phase transformations diagram In2S3–AgIn5S8 system constructed, characterized small crystallization interval belongs to type III according Rosebom classification. curves liquidus solidus are concave abscissa axis have common point.
